About this Citroën Deux Chevaux
This 2CV has been in my family since 1986. It rides like no other car. Because of its unique suspension, designed for farmers to drive over freshly plowed fields..., it’s soft and bouncy on bumpy terrain.
This car maintains its original suspension, and that is extremely rare for a Deux Chevaux imported into the U.S. Beginning in the 90s, it was popular to beef up the suspension and replace most of what makes the 2CV so much fun to drive. 2CV’s that have been “overhauled” or “renovated” are generally lacking the original cushy ride.
It’s been very well maintained until about two years ago when it no longer had a garage. I bundled it up the best I could against the elements. The routine maintenance was also skipped for those two years. Other than that, it’s in good shape. The car comes with original and new parts. The cv joints and boots were recently replaced, along with the chassis. Books, records on the car, manuals, and magazine articles are also included.
This 2CV currently does not run. It wants to start and just isn’t catching. A starting demonstration will be held at the beginning of the auction. The car is being auctioned as is.

The minimum bid is $7, 000 USD.
All bidders will bring a cashier’s check for $7,000 USD made out to Amy Hannum and dated July 20, 2025, which will act as the deposit for the winning bidder at the end of the auction.
Remaining balance will be paid by cashier’s check and is due upon retrieval of the car, no later than July 25, 2025.
Buyer will arrange transportation for the car.
